Using FileLister
Viewing Files
1. Choose a set of files to look at by clicking on a profile from the
top Left dropdown list on the screen.
2. A list of files will appear, simply click a file and it is displayed in the
right hand side pane.
You can force the method of viewing a file by unchecking the 'Auto Select Display Mode' checkbox on the top right of the screen, and then choosing a display method. This is useful for viewing HTML documents as text, or viewing File Details on picture files (shows dates edited and width and height).

Frequently Asked Questions ( FAQ )
What sort of Files does it view
Filelist views the most common types of graphics files in the graphics viewer and
any type of file you can see in a browser can be viewed in there too.
Why are some files listed twice?
Filelist gives you full flexibility in choosing paths and extensions, so if add the following paths:
C:\My Documents\*
C:\My Documents\reports
Then all the files in the C:\My Documents\reports directory will be listed twice.

Tagging Files
Tagging files is simply ticking the checkbox next to the filename
as you view down the list.
Once files are tagged you can perform global operations on these files
such as copying them, moving them or creating MP3 playlists.
Examples of this are :
Browsing through a list of files and tagging the ones which need to be deleted (duplicates, old versions)
*Note - Deleted files are actually moved to the \deleted folder under the
installed filelist directory - this is so you can get them back if you
change your mind. To save disk space you can use windows explorer to remove
all files from here

Batch Files
You can create batch files to perform advanced tasks on a custom list
of files quickly and easily.
1. Select the files you want from a profile and remove from the list
the files you dont want
2. Choose 'Create Batch' from the Listing menu
3. Enter the command you want to perform on each of the files listed.
for example, to copy all files to a particular directory, enter
COPY in the 'prior command' and then enter the name of the directory
in the destination command.
This will create a batch file with a separate line for each file and will
look like the line below, so if you enter 'COPY' and then D:\backup you will
get a batch file like below :
COPY "C:\My Documents\report.doc" D:\backup
COPY "C:\My Documents\sales.xls" D:\backup
COPY "C:\data\database.dbf" D:\backup
