It has 3 main timing modes
Manual Mode - acts like a stopwatch
Timer Mode - acts as an Egg timer (you set any time period from 1 second to 99 hours 99 minutes 99 seconds
Alarm Clock Mode - reminds you at a preset time
You can set alarms in either Timer or Alarm Clock mode, and each running timer can sound an Alarm, popup a message and record the event to an Excel compatible logfile.
Up to 32 separate timers can be running at once (any combination of Timers, Stopwatches or Alarms. Here are some ideas on ways you can use this program.
Stopwatch
Record time spent on a client's project (very useful for people who bill by the hour)
Time phone calls, coffee breaks, meetings, amount of time to do certain tasks or anything else you can think of.
Start 2 stopwatches and time a chess match

Timer Mode
Use it as a Kitchen timer to remind you to turn over the roast in ½ hour
Time yourself doing a quiz
Auto-restart Mode
Remind you to stretch your legs every 2 hours
Lab workers can use it during experiments to record a reading every 10 minutes or so.

Alarm Clock
Set a reminder for a meeting
Remind you to watch your favorite TV program that is on at 8:30pm
Set a reminder to finish work at a set time (ever missed the bus because you were busy working)
Daily Alarms can be automatically loaded each day (e.g. start work, smoko, lunch, go home)

Advanced Features
Even though the Timer is very easy to use, there are many advanced features to turn this into a powerful timer management tool.
The image on the right shows the Timer status window. You can open this window by clicking the Timer caption bar, or choosing 'Timer Manager' from the File menu.
It shows up all the current timers, including their type and whether they are running, paused or Finished.
You can manage timers individually (from the Timers menu - click anywhere on the caption), or as a group from the Timer Status window or from the Timer menu on the main screen.
Any timer can be saved into the Favourites menu to be reused at any time, and you can even set it to automatically reload all previously running timers when the program starts. This is great for timing long term tasks.
